What is Kara Wo Watte Hanasou?

Initially released on the Tower Records physical edition of Coin Locker Baby Album under the Muevo campaign, Kara Wo Watte Hanasou (roughly,Lets Break the Shell and Talk About It), is considered a lost media piece for the MARETU fanbase, with only people who bought the physical copy from Tower Records having access to the full version of the song.

Records of the Song Online

A thirty second clip of the song was uploaded to the MARETU twitter account, but has been since deleted. The clip of the song resurfaced on a spanish speaking youtube channel a while later. In the comments of the video, the uploader confirmed that the got the clip from twitter. This is the main source of video/audio of the song that we have access to.

The song has a page on the VocaDB forums which include lyrics. There lyrics were found to have been origninally hosted on the MARETU website. (UPDATE: The website is now defunct. Luckily, the website can be viewed through the Wayback Machine.)

NEWS BREAK.

Sorry for a lack of updating. I have contacted a community member regarding the song, and they claim a relative has a copy of it. The CD is being shipped to this individual. While I want to believe all my heart that they are telling the truth, I've been messed with like this before, so all my hesitation is just out of caution.

Will update when CD is recieved by the individual. Will ask for them to digitalize it and send me a digital file. Will distribute it to close friends.

Happy New Year! Took a few days off to celebrate, but I'm back.

Reached out to another community member who had been searching, asked them if they wanted to work together. No response.

Recieved reply from one of the VocaDB members contacted. Nothing of intrest, or anything I didn't already know.

UPDATES (14/12/22).

Only one response to my reddit post, but it's garnered an "OK" amount of upvotes for it being such a small community. Only reply wasn't exactly useful to my search. Currently brainstorming a way to mitigate the amount of useless replies.

My VocaDB search has seemingly come to a dead end. My forum post has garnered no attention. (Considering making a post in Japanese). Reaching out to users has brought me to a dead end, since none of the users who responded had any information regarding the song.

I've considered giving up, but I think I can still do a few things, at least to try.

Reached out to 14 people on VocaDB who own physical copies of the songs: Responses from 4 members, but still no song. NOTE: DO NOT MESSAGE ANYONE LISTED WHO HAS THE CD, AS IT'S SPAM TO THOSE BEING MESSAGED. ONE PERSON DOING IT IS ENOUGH.

Reached out to a MARETU fanpage on TikTok to help spread the word with people in the community: User expressed interest. Have not gotten back to me about reaching out to other people they may know.

Resale Listings

There's a fair amount of resale sites where people are selling Coin Locker Baby CD's.

(UPDATED: 30/11/22) CURRENTLY there are NO listings available for the special edition of thee album on Mercari.jp.

Currently 1 listing for Coin Locker Baby CD on eBay, but it's unclear if it is the special edition of the album (unlikely)

The CD seems to be up on Tower Records for yen 2,530. This listing is NOT the version with Kara O Watte Hanasou, as seen by the 15 tracks listed if you scroll down.

I'd seen people talking about wanting to order it to see, but it's very easy to see that the 15th Track listed is Rational Time, and not Kara O Watte Hanasou.(Even if you couldn't read the titles of the songs in japanese... a translator would be able to help you.)
